Farm Animal Caregivers - Full Time

The Barnyard Sanctuary The Barnyard Sanctuary Columbia, NJ Columbia, NJ Full-time Full-time $15 an hour $15 an hour The Barnyard Sanctuary in Columbia, NJ (Warren Co) is looking for 1 full time caregiver to help take care of rescued farm animals here at the sanctuary.
The basic duties of the job include feeding and watering, distributing hay, cleaning pens and other care and maintenance as required.
You will be taking care of a wide variety of animals including donkeys, water buffalo, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, pigs, emus, and other types of birds.
We need reliable, kind and compassionate people who are not afraid of hard work.
You will be outside in the elements, heat and cold, rain and snow.
You will need to be able to perform strenuous duties including lifting 50 pound feed bags and 60 pound hay bales and other physical labor.
You will also need to be comfortable around large farm animals.
For this job, previous outdoor experience working with animals is required.
We are funded solely by donations, and as such we are currently offering $15 per hour for these positions.
While you will not get rich working here, your life will be enriched by working among the beautiful animals who live at the sanctuary.
Full Time hours:
Monday - Friday 8am - 3pm
Sunday 8am - until done (usually between 11am/noon) If interested, please respond with work history and describe any relevant experience with working outdoors or with animals.
You must live within a 30 minute commute and have a reliable vehicle in the winter.
